SIZE Approximately 14” around x 7 1/2” high (Not folded over) MATERIALS GAUGE NOTE When changing colors, hold yarn to the left and pick up new color from underneath. This twists yarn so there are no holes. BOOT-TOPPER (Make 2) With circular needle, using A, cast on 80 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. (Knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd) twice. Join B and knit 1 rnd. Work in St st (k EVERY rnd), following chart, until 22 rnds of chart have been completed. Fasten off B. Work from here with A. Knit 2 rnds A. Dec Rnd: K3, k2 tog, * k6, k2 tog, rep from * 8 times more, end k3 – 70 sts. Turning Ridge: (Knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd) twice, dec 2 sts evenly spaced on last rnd – 68 sts. Cuff: Rnd 1: * K3, p1, rep from * around. Rep this rnd until cuff measures 1 1/2” above turning ridge. Dec Rnd: * K1, k2 tog, p1, rep from * around – 51 sts. Next Rnd: * K2, p1, rep from * around. Rep this rnd until cuff measures 3” above turning ridge. Bind off loosely in ribbing. Turn piece inside out. Pull onto leg with cuff at the bottom. Fold section with charted pat down over top of boot along turning ridge.
