  • 4x 40g. balls of whiteBrushed Yarn.
    1 20g. ball pink.
    1 pair 4mm. needles.
    1 metre pink ribbon.
    Stuffing for the head.
    Pink embroidery cotton for eyes and the nose.

Measurements
When complete, your rabbit will measure about 38cm. long.
Tension
To get the correct tension your knitting should measure 11 stitches to 5cm. over garter stitch worked on 4mm. needles.
If it does not measure this size, change the needles to a size smaller or larger and measure the tension again.

Body
Cast on 44 stitches.
Knit 2 rows. 3rd row * K.l, increase in next stitch by knitting into front and then back of the stitch, repeat from the * to the end of the row. (66 stitches.) Knit 1 row.
5th row * K.2, increase in next stitch, repeat from the * to the end. (88 sts.)

Knit without shaping until work measures 30cm. from cast on edge.

Shape top
Next row * K.2 tog., repeat from the
* to end. (44 sts.)
Next row * K.2, K.2 tog., repeat from
* to the end. (33 sts.)
Break off yarn leaving a long end. Thread the end into a wool needle and thread it through all the remaining stitches. Put aside until you have made the head.

Head
Cast on 30 stitches.
Knit 8 rows.
9th row K.ll, increase in next stitch,
K.5, increase in next stitch, K.l2.
Knit 1 row.

11th row K.12, increase in next stitch,
K.5, increase in next stitch, K.13.
Knit 1 row.
13th row K.13, increase in next stitch,
k 5, increase in next stitch, K.14.
Knit 1 row.
15th row K.14, increase in next stitch,
K.5, increase in next stitch, K.15.
Knit 1 row.
17th row K.15, increase in next stitch,
K.5, increase in next stitch, K.16.
Knit 1 row.
19th row K.16, increase in next stitch,
K.5, increase in next stitch, K.17.
Knit 7 rows. (42 stitches).

Break off wool leaving an end. Thread
into a wool needle and through the
remaining stitches. Draw the thread
up and seam the two edges from tip to
cast on edge. Stuff and sew along
cast on edge.
Seam 5cm. on side edges of body from
both cast on and cast off edges of body.
Fold cast on edge so that seam comes
in centre and stitch edges together.
Slip the other end on its thread holding
the stitches over the neck edge of the
head.
Draw it up and sew around the neck
edge, catching each stitch in place. The side edges of the body are left unseamed under the body so that you can slip your nightdress inside easily. Make a large pompon for the tail and stitch in place.
Ears
Cast on 11 stitches.
Knit 30 rows.
31st row K.4, K.3 sts. tog., K.4.
Knit 23 rows.
Next row K.3, K.3 sts. tog., K.3.
Knit 3 rows.
Next row K.2, K.3 sts. tog., K.2.
Knit 3 rows.
Next row K.l, K.3 sts. tog., K.l.
Knit 1 row.
Last row K.3 sts. tog.
Break off the yarn and draw through
the last stitch.
Work another white ear in the same
way.
Ear linings
Using pink, cast on 9 stitches.
Work in st.st. (Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row.)
Work 22 rows.
Next row K.3, K.3 tog., K.3.
Work 17 rows.
Next row K.2, K.3 tog., K.2.
Work 3 rows.
Next row K.l, K.3 tog., K.l.
Work 1 row.
Last row K.3 tog., break off yarn and
draw through last stitch.
Work 2nd lining in the same way.

To Make Up
Place ear and lining together with right sides touching. Slip stitch edges together down one side, around tip and up other side, leaving cast on edge open. Turn right side out. Stitch ends inwards and join the wide edges together along ear for about 3cm. Sew one ear to each side of head. Embroider eyes and nose. Tie ribbon around the bunny neck.

Adorable! I use to have a doll jamies bag when I was little... :-)

My son puts his jamies under his pillow every day... I bet he would love that little bunny!
