I needed to make a towel topper for an exchange and came up with this one. It works up really fast and is great for those of you who don''t like to sew on a machine, like me!! Marlo

Materials: 1 towel, G hook, sewing needle, small amount of worsted weight yarn.

Directions: This towel topper uses a whole towel. Fold the towel in half, thread needle with a length of yarn and sew 52 stitches through both thickness of the towel. Picture above shows how the stitches should look.

Row 1 - With the G hook attach yarn with a sl st in first stitch on the towel. Sc in same st and in each remaining st, ch 1 turn

Row 2 - dec in first 2 sts and in each remaining st, ch 1 turn(26 sts)

Row 3 - dec in first 2 sts and in each remaining st, ch 1 turn (13 sts)

Row 4-10 sc in each st across, ch 1 turn (13 sts)

At end of row 10, ch 45 , sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch, sl st across the top of row 10 to other side of topper and ch 45, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch. Fasten off.
