"NEW" Candy corn

Candy corn

I used an H hook, yellow, orange and white yarn

with yellow, chain desired length, sc in 2nd ch and each ch across. About 6
rows of yellow should do it. Change to orange, sc decrease at start ot each
row. Try 12 rows of orange. Change to white, continue to sc decrease, until
you have only one sc, makink a point.

PEA POD Peas: with lt. green, ch 4 loosely, being careful not to twist ch, join with sl st to form ring. Rnd. 1: (right side) 2 sc in each ch around, do not join, place marker. (8 sc) Rnd. 2: sc in each sc around. Rnd. 3: (sk next sc, sc in next sc) around. (4 sc) Rnd. 4: 2 sc in each sc around. (8 sc) Rnd. 5 - 8: Repeat rnds. 2 - 4 once, then repeat rnd. 2 once more changing to dark green in last sc on rnd. 8; do not finish off. (8 sc)

Pod: Row 1: * sl st in front lp only of next sc, ch 11 loosely, working in back ridge, sl st in 2nd ch from hk, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in last 7 chs, sl st in same st at base of ch-11 (half of pod made); repeat from * once more, sc in both lps of last 6 sc. CARROT: With orange and leaving a 2" end, ch 4 loosely, being careful not to twist ch, join with sl st to form ring. Rnd. 1: 2 sc in same ch, sc in each ch around; do not join, place marker. (5 sc) Rnds. 2 - 8: sc in next sc, sc in each sc around. (12 sc) Rnd. 9: sc in each sc around. Rnd. 10: (sk next sc, sc in next sc) around changing to green in last sc. (6 sc) Rnds. 11 & 12: work lp st in each st around. ( lp st: insert hk in next st, wrap yarn around index finger of left hand once more, insert hk through both lps on finger following direction indicated, being careful to hk all lps, draw through st pulling each lp to measurew appr. 2", remove finger from lp, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hk.) Rnd. 13: (sk next st, work lp st in next st) around; join with sl st to first st, finish off. Finishing: Pea pod: sew center edges together and tack peas to pod. Radish and Carrot: separate plies of begining end; tie plies in a knot close to veggie and trim ends.

Veggies can be added to a wreath or used as magnets.


Crochet Hook Caddy

Worsted weight yarn. 4oz blue. 1oz of contrasting color. Size H crochet hook. 12" by 15" piece of material to contrast blue yarn. Tapestry needle. Matching Thread

With blue ch 53. Row 1. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.

Rows 2 through 43. Sc in each sc. Ch 1 and turn after each row. Do not ch after row 43. Fasten off. Press flat.

Fold the material over and hem all sides until it matches the size of you crocheted piece. Fold 3" of crocheted-backed material over to the inside of piece to form pocket. Sew side seam closed leaving ends of rows loose (so you can sc around later). Sew lengthwise from bottom to top to for total of 9 pockets, (size does not have to be exact for each one). Leave tops open.

Side seams and ties: Using contrasting color, attach in an side corner, Sc around, making 3 sc in each corner, sc down 15 more sc, ch 35, fasten off. Using same color yarn, ch 35, join in sc sp just fasten off, sc down rest of side. Fasten off in last sc sp. To tie, roll from side without ties in a sausage-like fashion. Wrap ties around outside and tie. You now have a holder for your crochet hooks.


Towel Topper

Heavy Rug yarn in 70 yd skeins. Color A and B, 1 skein each. Size G hook. Kitchen terry cloth towel. 2 buttons (7/8" diameter.

Cut towel in half widthwise. Work across cut end of piece as follows: with sharp poin of scissors, make 41 holes evenly spaced acros cut edge, approx 3/8" from edge. With right side facing, join Color A with a sl st in first hole to your right.

Row 1: ch 1, sc in same hole as joining and in each rem hole across. Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Row 3: Rep row 2. Row 4. ch 2, turn, dc in first sc and in each rem sc across. Row 5: ch 2 turn, dc in first dc *skip next dc, dc in next dc. dc in next dc, rep from* across. Row 6: Rep row 5. Row 7. Rep row 5 Row 8: Ch 2 turn, dc in first dc and in each rem st across. Row 9 thru 15: Rep row 8, 7 times. Row 16: Ch 2 turn, sk first dc, dc in each of the next 3 dc, sk next dc dc in last dc. Finish off.

Edging With right side facing, use color B and work one row in sc evenly space around edg of crocheted top. Fisish off. Sew button to center front, appprox 1 1/4" up from towel edge. Fold over tab and button throught sp between sts at end of tab.

Make towel 2 same as towel 1.


Butterfly Pattern

This pattern is done with Cotton Thread. I have used worsted weight yarn and an H hook. Size 7 steel crochet hook. Wrapped floral wire or heavy carpet thread. 2 inches per butterfly. With color A ch 6, join with sl st to form ring. Rnd 1: ch 3, 17 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Rnd 2: ch 3, 5 dc in same st as joining, *ch 3, sk next 2 dc, 6 dc in next dc, rep from* around, end ch 3, sk last 2 dc, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Fasten off. Join color B with sl st in any ch 3 sp. Rnd 3: ch 3, 9 dc in same ch 3 sp, *sc bet 3rd and 4th dc of next 6 dc group, 10 dc in next ch 3 sp, rep from*aound, end sc bet 3rd and 4th dc of last 6 dc group, sl st to top of beg ch 3. Fasten off. Fold in half to form butterfly. Wrap 2 inch strip of floral wire around the butterfly (in the center) and twist at top to form antenna.


Toliet Paper Tissue Cover (Basic pattern for you to decorate)

Worsted weight yarn. 1 1/2 oz color A, 1/2 oz color B Small amounts of yarn for decorations. Size G hook "TOP"--- RND 1: (right side), with color A ch 4, join to form ring, Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, sl st to join in top of beg ch-3. (12 dc''s). RND 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as beg ch 3, work 2 dc in each dc around, sl st to join in top of beg ch-3. (24 dc''s). RND 3: Rep RND 2. (48 dc''s). RND 4: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, sl st to join in top of bet ch-3. Fasten off. "BASE" --- RND 5: With right side of Top facing you, draw up a lp of color B, ch 1 sc in same st as beg ch-1, sc in each dc around, sl st to join in beg sc, ch 1 turn. RND 6: Sc in same st as beg ch-1, tr in next st, (sc in next st, tr in next st), rep around, sl st to join in beg sc, ch 1, turn. RND 7: Sc in same st as beg ch-1 , 1 sc in each rem st around, sl st to join in beg sc, ch 1, turn. RNDS 8 thru 25: Rep RNDS 6 and 7. At end of round 25, fasten off. "RUFFLE" --- RND 26: With color A, attach yarn, ch 1, sc in same st as beg ch-1, sc in each st round, sl st to join in beg sc.. Fasten off. RND 27: Working in back lps for this rnd only, join color B, ch 3, dc in same st as beg ch-3, 4 dc in next st, (2 dc in next st, 4 dc in next st) rep around, sl st to join in top of beg ch-3. Fasten off. RND 28: Join color A, ch 1, sc in same st as beg ch-1, ch 3, sk 1 st, (sc in next st, ch 3, sk 1 st) rep around, join in beg sc. Fasten off. RND 29: Join color B in any ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in same ch-3 sp as beg ch-1, ch 3, (sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3) rep around, sl st to join in beg sc.Fasten off. Use my flower patterns to decorate the top.


Slipper Pattern

Red Heart yarn, 8oz each skein, 1 skeins each, Dark blue and Light blue. Size J crochet hook. Yarn needle. Fits 8 to 9 womans size shoe.

No not join rounds. Mark begining of round with a pin. Use 2 strands of yarn together. One of light blue and one of dark blue. Ch 4, sl st together to form ring.

R1. Ch 1, 10 sc in ring. R2. 2 sc in each sc around. 20sc. R3. Sc in 1st st, 2 sc in next st, around. R4. Sc aound for 17 rows. Total of 21 rows. At end of 21st row ch 14, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to 1st ch, sc in next sc and sc around, ch 14 sc in 2nd ch from hook (using back side of ch) and in each ch to 1st ch, sc in next sc, sc around. Ch 1 and turn at end of each row. Continue in this manner until there are 14 rows on the first ch 14. Fasten off. Sew front and back up.

Adjustments to this pattern. To increase size or decrease size, in ring make more or less sc''s. You can adjust the length by decreasing or increasing the numbers of rows for each part of pattern.


Snug Rug

Rug is 24 in x 36 in

Heavy Rug Yarn(60-yd skein) 21 skeins natural, 10 skeins each of cpeach and brown, 6 skeins coral. Size k hook 1 1/2 in x 7in strip of cardboard.

How to make triple loop stitch(tr lp st):* insert hook in next sc, wind yarn around cardboard held at back of work, yo, draw lp through st: rep from * twice in same st as first lp, yo and draw through all lps on hook.

Rug is worked with 2 strands of yarn held to throughout unless otherwise indicated.

With natural, ch 61 ROW 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across. Turn. ROW 2: (wrong side), Ch 1, tr lp st in each ch st across. Turn. ROW 3: Ch 1, sc in each lp st across. Turn. ROW 4 and 5: Rep rows 2 & 3 changing to brown in last sc of row 5. Rep rows 2 and 3 working in gollowing color sequence changing colors in last sc of previous row. Rows 6 & 7 Brown, 8 thru 13 Natural, 14 thru 21 Peach, 22 thru 25 Coral, 26 thru 29 Natural, 30 thru 33 Peach, 34 & 35 Brown, 36 thru 41 Natural, 42 thru 49 Brown, 50 & 51 Natural, 52 thru 56 Coral, 57 thru 59 Peach, 60 thru 63 Natural, 64 thru 67 Brown, 68 & 69 Coral, 70 thru 73 Peach, 74 thru 79 Natural, 80 & 81 Brown, 82 thru 85 Natural. Fasten off. Join natural to first ch of foundation ch, sc in eachch across. Turn. Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off. Cut all loops of lp sts open as close to center of lp as possible. Trim any rem longer ends of lps. Tassle , make 24. Cut 18 natural strands, each 14 in long, tie in center with natural, fold strands in half and wind natural several times around tasse 1 in below forl. Fasten off. Trim ends. Make 17 more like the one you just made. With natural, tie one in first and in every 5th st along short ends of rug.

RND 8&9: sl st in next ch-1 sp, beg cl in same sp, (ch 1 cl in next ch-1 sp) 5 times, place marker in last cl worked in rnd 9 to mark Tail Placement, ch 1 )cl in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) around: join. RND 10: Ch 3, dc in ea ch-1 sp and in ea cl around:join (30 st ). RND 11: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in ea dc around, join. RND 12: Ch 1 sc in ea dc around: join, finish off.

TAIL: ROW 1: (wrong side): with rs of last rnd of Body facing up working in sts on rnd 8, join color A with sl st at marker: ch 3, dc in next ch-1 sp, (dc in next cl, dc in next ch-1 sp) 5 times: (12 st). ROW 2: ch 1, turn: sc in first dc, cl around post of next dc, ch 1(cl around post of next dc, ch 1) 9 times, sc in last dc: (10 cls). ROW 3: ch 1, turn: sk first sc, hdc in next 2 cls, dc in next 2 cls, tr in next 2 cls, dc in dext 2 cls, hdc in last 2 cls, leave last sc unworked. EDGING RND: Ch 1, turn: sc in each st across: work 4 sc in end of Tail ros, sc in top of ea st on row 1, work 4 sc in end of tail rows: join, finish off.

HEAD: RNDS 1 & 2: Work same as Body. RNDS 3 thru 7: sl st in next ch-1 sp, beg cl in same sp, ch 1, (cl in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) around: join. (10 cls). Stuff head. Sl st in next ch-1 sp, beg cl in same sp, ch 1 sk next ch-1 sp (cl in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next ch-1 sp) 4 times: join: finish off leavin sewing length of yarn.

COMB: ROW 1: Join color B with sl st to any cl bet rnds 1 and 2 in center of Head, working across rond 1 ( ch 2, st st bet next 2 cls) 3 times. ROW 2: Ch 3, turn: (cl, sl st) in first ch-2 sp, (cl, sl st) in next 2 ch-2 sps: finish off. FINISHING: Ch 90 for Drawstring. Weave through Body rnd 9. Sew head to body within in 3 rows of front of Body. Add eyes and beak. Stuff Body with Jelly Beans, tighten the Drawstring, leave small opening to squeeze candy out of the Turd Bird.


A BED FOR KITTY

Finished size: 15-1/2 in diameter

Materials: G hook, Piece of foam rubbre or quilt batting

Instructions

Bottom and Sides: Beginning at center with light avocado, ch 5, join with sl st to drom ring. Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as 1 hdc), 9 hdc in ring, (10 hdc). Rnd 2: Ch 2, hdc at base of ch, 2 hdc in each hdc around, join (20hdc). Rnd 3: Ch 2, hdc at base of ch, *hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc. Repeat from * around, join (30 hdc). Rnds 4-14: Work as for Rnd 3 having 1 more stitch bet increases on each rnd (140 hdc). Fasten off. Row 1:(Beg of sides), Join main in back of lp of any hdc, ch 2, hdc in back lp of next 121 hdc, drop malt and pick up avocado, ch 2 turn. Row 2: *Sk 1 hdc, sc in next hdc, ch 1. Repeat from * across , sc in top of ch-2 drop avocado, pick up wheat , ch 2 turn. Row 3: Sc in 1st skipped hdc of Row 1. Repeat from * across, drop wheat, pick up malt, ch 2 turn. Row 4: Sc in 1st sc of Row 2, *ch 1 sc in next sc, repeat from * across, drop avocado, pick up malt, ch 2 turn. Row 5: Sc in 1st sc, *ch 21 sc in next sc, repeat from * across, drop avocado, pick up malt, ch 2 turn. Row 6: Sc in each sc and ch 1 across, ch 2 turn. Row 7: Hdc in each sc across, drop malt, pick up avocado, ch 2 turn. Row 8: Working in back lp, hdc in each hdc across, ch 2. (Foldline). Rows9-12: Hdc in each hdc across, ch 2 turn. Fasten off. continue as follows.

FINISHING: Place inside lining and side edges together with inside lining facing , working through both thicknesses to join, sl st in each sc around, working sl; sts in sts along front opening to beginning of rnd. Place foam rubber piece between layers before completing joining. Fold sides to inside along Row 8.

Trim: Rnd 1: Join malt in any rem lp of 14 along bottom edge, sl st in each st around, join. Fasten off. Rnd 2: Join malt at bottom of left front opening, sl st up side, around top edge in rem lps of Row 7, sl st down side edge of right front opening.


Doggie Sweater

Both sweaters are extra-easy to make because there aren''t any leg holes, the sweaters are secured with a simple strap around your pooch''s tummy.

Finished size: Approximately 12 (14-16-18)" from neck to base of tail. Size Note: Instructions are written for size Small with sizes Medium, Large, and Extra- Large in braces. Instructions will be easier to read if you circle all the numbers pertaining to your dog''s size.

Materials: Worsted weight yarn, approximately: Solid Sweater: 2 1/2 (3-4-5) oz, Striped Sweater: MC (blue) 1 1/2 (2-2 1/2, 3) oz, Color A (white) 3/4 (1-1 1/4- 1 1/2) oz, Color B( red) 1/2 (1/2, 3/4, 3/4) oz, Crochet hook size K or size needed for gauge, 3/4" buttons-2, yarn needle.

Pattern Stitch Decrease ( uses next 2 sts) * YO, insert hook in next st, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops on hook, repeat from * once more, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook. Left Neck Shaping: Row 1: With right side facing, skip 8 (9, 10, 11) sts from Right Neck Shaping and join yarn with a slip st in next st; ch 3, work across: 14( 15, 16, 17) sts. Row 2: (Decrease Row) Ch 3, turn, work across to last 3 sts, decrease, dc in last dc. 13( 14, 15, 16) sts. Row 3: (Decrease Row) Ch 3, turn, decrease, work across: 12( 13, 14, 15) sts. Rows 4-7: Repeat rows 2 and 3 twice. 8 (9, 10, 11) sts. Row 8: work across and finish off.

Striped Sweater: Work same as Solid Sweater in the following Color Sequence: * 3 rows MC, 1 row each Color A, Color B, Color A, repeat from * 3 (4,5, 5) times more then work 3 ( 3, 1, 3) rows MC. For Sizes Small and Extra-Large Only: work 1 row each color A and color B. Finishing: With right sides together and corresponding color, whipstitch end of right neck to end of left neck.

Neckband: Rnd 1: With right side facing and MC, join yarn with slip st at seam; ch 1, sc evenly around, join with slip st to first sc. Rnds 2 &3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join with slip st to first sc. Finish off. Belly Band: Row 1: With right side facing, working in end of rows and using MC, join yarn with slip st on left edge of Sweater, 5(6, 7, 8)" down from seam; ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each of next a5 rows, dc in next row: 13 dc Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc and in each dc across. Repeat Row 2 until Band fits snuggly around dog''s chest.

Buttonholes Row 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across. Row 2: Ch 1, turn sc in first 3 sc, (ch 2, skip 2 sc, sc in nxt 3 sc) twice. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc and in each ch across. 13sc Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across, finish off. Sew on buttons.
