Stuff the neck and sew the head to the body.

EARS: white yarn, make 2
Rnd 1: ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from the hook, ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc, ch 1, do not turn, but pick up 3 sc along edge, 3 sc in beginning ch, and pick up 3 more sc along edge. Cut yarn leaving a 10" sewing tail. Fold ear in half and sew in place on the head with the folded side up.

MANE:
Cut 1 yd of unraveled Olefin Maxiloops into 2 1/2" pieces. Fold a piece in half, place the fold on the center of the head. Use the needle and thread to stitch the center of each piece along the center of the head. Start 1/2" in front of the ears and continue down the neck to the point where it joins the body. Trim uneven ends and brush lightly.

TAIL:
Cut 8 strands of Olefin Maxiloops into 8" pieces, fold in half and attach to the end of the body using a tufting st (insert the hook through a sc of the body and pull up a 1 1/2" loop, then catch both ends of the yarn and pull snugly through the loop.) Trim the tail to the length of the legs and brush lightly.

FINISHING: With 2 strands of black embroidery thread satin stitch the nose, backstitch the mouth, and make 5 short stitches for eyelashes. Sew the 4mm beads in place for the eyes.

FOR THE UNICORN:
HORN: white yarn and make one
Rnd 1: Beginning at the base of the horn, ch 7, sc in second ch from the hook and in each remaining ch (6sc). Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 2: Sc in each sc, decreasing 1 at the center of the row (5 sc). Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 3: Sc first 2 sc together, sc in next 3 sc (4sc). Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 4: sc in each sc. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 5: sc in sc 2 times, sc last 2 sc together (3sc). Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 4.
Rnd 7: sc first 2 sc together, sc in next sc (2sc). Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 8: Repeat rnd 4.
Rnd 9: sc 2 sc together, ch 1 and cut yarn. Holding sides together, start at this point and whip stitch edges together. Fold the end of a piece of pipe cleaner and insert into the horn before stuffing (using the end of the crochet hook makes stuffing tiny pieces easier). Place the horn on the head between and slightly in front of the ears and sew into place. Thread a 10" length of gold thread through the yarn needle and attach at the top of the horn. Pulling the thread tightly, wrap it around the horn in rows 1/4" apart and secure with a stitch at the base.

FINISHING:
Hold the 2 strands of ribbon together and make a shoestring bow with 4 loops on each side and four 6" tails and stitch it to the unicorn just above one ear. Glue small silk or cloth flowers over the knot of the bow.

FOR PEGAGUS:
WINGS:
Rnd 1: ch 10, sc in second ch from hook and in next 7 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 2: sc in sc 10 times. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 3: sc in second sc (sk first sc), and in next 7 sc, 3 sc in last sc. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 4: repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3.
Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 2.
Rnd 7: Repeat rnd 3.
Rnd 8: Hold a pipe cleaner along the front edge and bend it to the end of the wing. Sc in each sc, enclosing the pipe cleaner: 12 sc, *(ch3, sc in next st) repeat from * 5 times (6 picots made). Cut the yarn. Position the wing on the body where the neck joins the body and have the rounded edge of the wing facing forward. Stitch in place.

FINISHING:
Wrap 7" of 1/8" wide ribbon around the neck and overlap the ends at the front, stitch to hold. With 18" of 1/8" wide ribbon make a shoestring bow with 3 loops on each side and two 1" tails, stitch in place. Glue silk or cloth flowers over the knot of the bow.
